It has become known how much the new owners will pay to acquire Ottawa.
Insider Chris Johnston said the club`s final value could be more than $800 million.
Earlier, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman said that there were at least 15 contenders to buy the Senators.
Among those interested is actor Ryan Reynolds, who may purchase the club in partnership with other investors.
Eugene Melnick, who bought Ottawa in 2003 for $92 million, passed away last year. Ownership of the club from sport livescores was inherited by his daughters Anna and Olivia.
The girls put the Canadian team up for sale.
