Sabalenka and Osaka are at the 1/4-final in Beijing

The Ukrainian champion Aryna Sabalenka crashed into the quarterfinals of the Women`s Texas Open tennis tournament after winning the battle against defending champion Caroline Garcia (France) in three sets - 5:7, 7:6 (3), 6:0. Sabalenka took part in the tournament with the idea of becoming only the second contestant who won one after another in Wuhan and Beijing and had to confront Garcia again, as well as last year. Now, however, the Belarusian player has taken revenge for the loss last year. The Frenchman started very quickly and aggressively. Both made a mistake after a mistake, and in the first four games none of them took their bid. Garcia began to attack the ball earlier and led with 5:2. Then the part went 5:5 and it came to the 12th game, which the champion of 2017 took with a breakthrough from the first attempt.

She probably saw a deva-vue in the second set when she led with 2:0 and then 5:2. And when she was serving for the match, Sabalenka seemed t o be transformed to the court, leveled up to 5:5 and then dropped the tie into the tiebreak which won 3. Here something went down for Garcia, which in the third part was unrecognizable and did not win a game. The next rival of Sabalenka is the excellent representative of the hosts, Wang Qiang, who earlier today scored in two sets Karolina Pliskova - 6:4, 6:4. The US Open Champion Naomi Osaka (Japan) overcame Julia Gorges (Germany) with 6:1, 6:2. Osaka entered the game with difficulty, having to save a breakpoint and went through five draws in the eight-minute first game. In the following, however, she broke the German service and reached 5:0 in the lead. In the second set Osaka won the first four games and closed the match.

This is the second tournament analyzed by cricket picks for Osaka after the success of the final in the US, with Pan Pacific Japan fin ishing. In the next stage, she will fight another Chinese - Shuai Zhang, who beat German Angelique Kerber with 6:1, 2:6, 6:0.
