Juve paid 5 million euros to avoid drama with Witsel

The fans of Juventus have decided not to risk and pay 5 million euros for the signature of Axel Witsel to take it into its ranks in January, rather than to wait until the summer.
As it is known, the Belgian national was extremely close to crossing to the 'Juventus Stadium' in the summer. He even spent 13 hours in Turin after successful medical examinations, but in the end, the transfer fell through after Zenit demanded more money.
The contract of the player with the Russian Grand expires in June 2017 and he several times refused to renew it. Expectations were it still to make a switch in Juve through next year as a free agent.
The Bianconceri, however, do not intend to risk and to give time for the emergence of a new candidate for the services of Witsel. For that reason, they intend to offer Zenit 5 million to take it back in January. If that happens, then the Belgian will not be able to play in the Champions League, where there are matches for the Russians, but will be available for meetings in Serie A and Cup of Italy.
